  4. A Union will give Employees a voice that they don't have at Barilla. It's all Managers all the time there. Biegger is a liar. He is the Wolf is Sheeps clothing. Barilla has gone to crap since he became the Plant Manager.

  6. If you are so unhappy with your job, joining a union won't help. Maybe its time to look for a new job. I'm sure that there are a lot of people out there that would love to fill your position.

  7. seems like one other comment that job security isn't there, one gets fired for reasons that should not get fired for, a union might just make the job better.

  8. Sheeple, comments like a Union won't help is by those that like to be lead by the nose and believe everything they are told. I have some Ocean Front property in Arizona! Come get it...

  9. Is management making comments here now? If you work on the floor and don't want a union just vote no. If it passes don't join it. Do you think a union will make your job worse?

  10. TO THE PERSON WHO STARTED THIS. WHERE ARE THE UNION CARDS? ARE YOU CHICKENING OUT NOW? YOU HAVE SUPPORT. EVEN THOUGH THE # OF COMMENTS IS SMALL, KEEP IN MIND PEOPLE ARE AFRAID TO COMMENT. BUT YOU STARTED THIS. CARRY IT THROUGH. PASS OUT THE CARDS. IT SHOULD NOT BE VERY DIFFICULT TO FIND ONE PERSON PER SHIFT THAT YOU FEEL YOU CAN TRUST. ASK AROUND. TO ALL... IF THE CARDS DO SHOW UP THEY ARE ANONYMOUS. IT JUST TAKES A CERTAIN PERCENT TO FORCE A VOTE. IF YOU ARE NOT GOING TO CARRY THROUGH... LET US KNOW. JUST SAY YOU CHICKENED OUT. DON'T LEAD US ON. MAKE YOUR MOVE OR SAY IT'S OVER. SOON!!!

  11. First of all there is no need to shout(drop the all caps) and your name calling makes you sound ridiculous. This blog is to discuss issues that affect our livelihoods. While all views are welcome, playground behavior isn't.
Second, the organizing commitee is working on a broad based campaign to win representation at Barilla. That means filing for an election with an overwhelming majority rather than a bare minimum. This is to ensure victory and to send a strong message to the company that we are united in bargaining our first contract.
Third, the organizing commitee has already collected numerous election authorization cards. It continues to work towards a bullet proof majority. If you have already signed a card, please be patient. If you hav'nt been approached about signing a card yet, perhaps there is a reason. Based on the tone and content of your post, it might be that you are seen as being anti-union.For all we know you could also be a manager or some union busting consultant hired by Barilla.
Regardless, if you or anyone else are truly interested in signing a card or helping to get others on board, contact Teamsters Local 120 organizer Paul Slattery at 651-343-1714 or pslattery@teamsterslocal120.org.
Otherwise, step aside and watch as we stand together, join the Teamsters and force Barilla to respect us.
